For Challenge #21!
Since I already do mix my characters ethnicity around, I decided to dabble a bit into a continent that I didn’t really know much about - Africa. There is a plethora of ethnic peoples, and I picked the Beti-Pahuin:

Altogether, they inhabit a territory of forests and rolling hills that stretches from the Sanaga River in the north to Equatorial Guinea and the northern halves of Gabon to Congo to the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean to the west to the Dja River in the east. [source, Wikipedia] 

So I’ve created a warrior of the river and his mother, a shaman-woman wearing the head dress of a fertility goddess. I wanted to stick as close as possible to being specific with not only facial features but the dress of the people too with this challenge. All-in-all it was a lot of fun!
